            The Kawasaki Ki-45 Toryu (NICK)

The Ki-45 has been described as possibly the most
maneuverable twin-engined fighter of WWII. Originally
designed for long range fighter duties, it was used for a
variety of purposes, to include anti-shipping. The Toryu

the nose, along with a 7.9mm mg for the rear gunner. It was
powered by two Nakajima air-cooled 1,050 HP engines. It could
also carry a 500kg bomb and drop tanks. It also had self
sealing fuel tanks and some armor plating for the crew.
SPECS: Top speed 343 mph at 22,965 feet, range 1,243 miles,
