After reviewing Keith Heitman's hexing techniques I felt cocky enough to
attempt my very first hex job, a Boeing B-29.

B-29's served exclusively in the Pacific and CBI Theaters in WWII. The first
missions were flown from Chengtu, China and were largely unsuccessful due to
the range involved and early-model engine overheating problems. After Curtis
LeMay's appearence, the capture of bases in the Marianas, and better engines,
the B-29 became a potent weapon in the Pacific, most notably when LeMay
ordered the 29's to bomb Japan at night with incendiaries from 10,000 feet.
Obviously, the two most famous missions would be the dropping of "Little Boy"
on Hiroshima and "Fat Man" on Nagasaki on 6 Aug. 1945 and 9 Aug. 1945
respectivly. Now, if SWOTL could just give us a nuke or two.....

My B-29 is a heavily hexed B-17. I gave it the performance of a Boeing block
55 and beyond B-29. Block 55 and beyond B-29's had 4 .50 cals in the top front
turret and deleted the 20 mm cannon in the tail. It used 4 remotely driven
and fired turrets, two on top, and two on the bottom along with a tail turret.
All turrets except the top front carried 2 .50 cal. machine guns. The firepower
on the right waist reflects this top-front turret. I has a bomb load of either
10 1600 lb bombs or 16 1000 lb bombs(this is impressive when a box of six
salvos at once). All engine and performance specs are as close to a B-29 as
possible. However some flukes may occur and I would appreciate it if you would
contact me on Prodigy. Thanks and enjoy. Eric Anderson XXBH51B
