JETS OVER HOLLAND

On the 19th of September, 12 P-47s of the
511th Squadron, 405th Fighter Group were
tasked to support Operation Market-Garden.
Operating from their new airfield at St.
Dizier, time on target was 1545 hours.
Eight of the planes had 2x500 pounders and
bombed several flak positions and a radar
site. The squadron reported a northbound
ME-262 rapidly rising "from the deck" up
to 8,000 feet, passing by their formation
without engaging.

                  MISSION

You are to destroy the radar installation
(on map as the Arnhem Bridge) which is a
key C&C link for Model's troops at Arnhem.
Someone just reported a jet.......

                   NOTES

Historically, the jet did not engage.
What if it were Baer? What if he had
unseen wingmen? Your mission is to get
that radar site - remember those poor
chaps in XXX Corps - but watch your tail.
