This is a set of four missions that came about after designing
several other missions that were crammed with enemy aircraft. I
had gotten in something of a rut of designing missions that had
30+ enemy aircraft requiring you to worry constantly about how
many rounds were expended per aircraft. This type of mission is
great for a test of skills and as training for making the abso-
        lute best shot possible.

But, I had just read an account by a pilot who flew in the Battle
of Britain. He had said something of the nature that on his
first flight he had lined up on the tail of a German fighter and
had pulled a two second burst of guns just like they had taught
him during training. Now this got me to thinking about the gun
film that I had seen. Two seconds seemed like an awful short
burst compared to the films. So off I went to try the two second
burst of guns. What I found is that a real two second burst will
completely destroy an enemy fighter, but uses way too much ammu-
nition for 30+ opposing a/c. Two second bursts were surely
ammunition savers for flights where two kills in one outing was a
        big deal.

So these four missions were born. I have tried to make them
difficult enough to be challanging, yet to have few enough enemy
planes to allow you to really hose 'em down. Practice your two
second bursts (or not), they add a different dimension to the
tactics used. In any event, enjoy.

        Tally ho!
