BERLIN AIRRAID

During the first few months of the war,
the Soviet High Command decided it would
be politically wise to bomb Berlin. The
plane for the job was the Pe-8 four
engined bomber, along with some Ilyushin
IL-4s. This raid occurred in the summer
of 1941, but no details of the results of
the mission could be found.

MISSION

A glorious day, comrade! You have been
chosen to lead a flight of our new Pe-8
bombers and strike at the fascist
capital, Berlin. You may expect heavy
opposition from Bf110s and Bf109s.

NOTES

This is a normal day mission.
