DEFENSIVE RECONNAISSANCE

On the 13th of January 1945, the Russians
unleashed a massive offensive against the
well-prepared positions of the Third
Panzer Army. Although severely
outnumbered, the Germans had no less than
six successive defensive belts prepared.
Prior to the battle, German planes were
making daily reconnaissance flights,
taking photos fresh tracks leading to
ammo dumps, artillery positions, and new
trenches for assault troops. These were
all the tell-tale signs of an upcoming
offensive. Enemy fighters would make
sudden appearances in order to stop the
reconnaissance planes, and dive bombers
"plastered" the German rear areas.

MISSION

Take your Bf110 on a reconnaissance
flight to the 3 waypoints on your map.
You must overfly the three points to get
credit for having "photographed" them.
Expect some enemy activity. You may run
into Sturmoviks, you are cleared to
attack them if it does not interfere with
your mission. Your primary mission is to
get the photos, however.

NOTES

This is a snow mission.
