                The Bell P-39Q "Airacobra"

The P-39's most famous contribution to history is in its role
a primarily a Lend-Lease aircraft to the Soviet Union. Over
4,900 of the Q-model were built, the majority going to
Russia. Although slow, it was heavily armed, and some Soviet
pilots preferred it for that reason. It had a 37mm gun (30
rounds of ammo) firing through the propeller hub, with (in
the Q model) 2 x .50 cal MG in the upper cowling (200 r.p.g.)
and 2 x .50 cal MG (300 r.p.g.) in small fairings, one on
each wing. The design was unique for several reasons: one
of which being the tricycle landing gear, and the other being
the mid-fuselage engine. The engine was behind the pilot,
helping to protect it. It was a little slow, and not
extremely maneuverable. This mod uses a Hawker Hurricane for
the exterior, a FW190 cockpit with P51 wing panels.

The P-39 could also carry a single 500 pound bomb beneath the
fuselage, or a 75 gallon droptank.
